Chester was born blind in one eye with a deformed back foot. Her owner was going to dispose of her so we took her in.

The foot eventually started to turn up where the toenails were going to grow into her leg from her foot facing upwards. We decided, with her vet, that amputation was the best choice. Fast forward 5 years - Chester’s life has been great at the farm until arthritis set in to her hip and she could not walk. Being a tri-pod, the best course of action was a hip replacement. Texas A&M performed their first total hip replacement on a tri-pod with great results. Her rehab here at the farm was a breeze and she is now in a case study for another major university.
