After getting an email about a cute little white puppy in a shelter that had crooked legs, I headed that way. When I got there and saw her and her two special sisters with her, I said "I will take them all!"

Doodle Bug walked with contracted front legs and was also deaf and visually impaired. Our vet performed several procedures to try to straighten her legs to no avail. This situation was new to all of us. Then he had a vision. He performed the surgery and she wore external fixators for 12 weeks. Upon removal, she walked upright! She was also a model for a children's book called Doodle's Second Chance in the Second Chance series by Brandy Herr. Doodle has shown many people, young and old alike, how perseverance pays off. Hence the term "Doodle on!"
